Americans spent almost $100 billion to support 606,000 poor refugees in the 10 years up to 2014, according to a State Department report.

The $96.6 billion cost rises to $126 billion when officials count the extra cost of paying for the refugees’ spouses and children, including U.S.-born children.

The $126 billion bill is just for programs managed by the Department of Health and Human Services. It excludes additional taxpayers’ spending via state programs, as well as federal spending on Social Security, education, and housing programs, plus tax credits, says the State Department’s annual report to Congress on the refugee program.

The one-agency, $126-billion firehose of cash, however, was a huge taxpayer subsidy to the refugee groups which delivered the refugee to cities and towns. It is also a huge subsidy to the low-wage employers who hired the refugees in place of higher-wage Americans, and to the grocery stores and apartments who sold food and rented apartments to the new arrivals.

The huge cost adds up to $670 per working American, not counting the hard-to-assess costs of crowded schoolrooms, flooded labor markets, civic diversity, and shifts in political power away from Americans.

The massive spending will continue because the vast majority of the 606,000 refugees remain in the United States, mostly in low-skilled jobs, and will age into retirement. Since 2014, former President Barack Obama imported an additional 155,000 refugees.

The expenses are high because few of the refugees have the skills to earn a good living. The report noted:

Education level: Respondents age 25 or older averaged 8.7 years of education before arrival; about half did not have a high school diploma upon arrival; and 29 percent of refugees age 25 or older listed their prior educational attainment as “none.” Among respondents age 18 and older, 16 percent were pursuing a degree of some kind, with most seeking high school equivalency.

English language proficiency: Respondents improved their English over time, but large deficits remain. Among refugees age 18 or older who had lived in the United States between 4.5 and 6.5 years, 53 percent spoke English “not well” or “not at all,” based on self-assessments.

Employment: 59 percent of respondents ages 16 to 64 were employed, lower than the 67.5 percent employment rate for native-born members of the U.S. population. Male respondents were employed at a rate roughly on par with the U.S. population after being in the United States for only two years. Employed refugees age 18 or older earned $12 per hour on average.

Public benefits use: Two percent of respondent households reported public assistance as their only source of income; 27 percent received cash welfare of some kind, most often Supplemental Security Income (SSI); and 56 percent received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Among respondents age 18 or older, 57 percent reported having health coverage throughout the previous year, while 34 percent reported no health coverage. Among those with coverage, about half received Medicaid or Refugee Medical Assistance.

President Donald Trump has dramatically braked the inflow to 53,000 refugees in 2017 and has promised to accept a maximum of 30,000 organized-inflow refugees in 2019.

Also, the Department of Homeland Security has announced a new regulation to deny visas and green cards to foreigners who poor, unskilled, or old. For the moment, the rule does not apply to refugees.

Trump’s slowdown has reduced the impact of refugee migration on Americans cities, such as Lewiston, Maine, or Kansas City, Kansas.

Breitbart News reported:

The JBS meatpacking company has raised salaries by 25 percent to help persuade more people to work in a Texas slaughterhouse, according to the Washington Post.

But that good news, however, is buried by the Post‘s endorsement of the meatpackers’ business strategy, which uses federal immigration programs to recruit replacements for injured or exhausted American (or migrant) workers and to minimize investment in labor-saving automation …

Overall, the Post‘s article is wrapped up in a self-serving view of immigration held by many progressives who justify the importation of a subservient class into the United States by promising that the immigrants’ children will advance in society. The article concludes with [Stan] Corbin’s progressive promise that “their children will grow up to be engineers … [but now] there is a great need for laborers.”

In this view, the U.S. meatpacking industry is a social service agency for the world’s poor which also provides liberals with cheap restaurants plus the satisfaction of helping distant foreigners. This “telescopic philanthropy” allows urban liberals to feel good about their generosity to foreigners while they ignore the costs they impose on nearby American communities, including the American blue-collar workers who see their salaries cut and the American children who are forced into overcrowded and dysfunctional classrooms.

The State Department’s report provided a chart showing how the HHS agency spent the money:

Refugees

The report detailed which migrants were treated as refugees:

HHS estimated expenditures from the major HHS programs assisting refugees and asylees and their dependents over the 10-year period 2005-2014. For purposes of its analysis, HHS included individuals who entered the United States since 1980 as refugees, asylees, Iraqi and Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders and their spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21, Cuban and Haitian entrants, certain Amerasians from Vietnam, victims of a severe form of trafficking who have received certification or eligibility letters from ORR, trafficking victims family members with T nonimmigrant visas, and some victims of torture. Individuals who later changed their immigration status to legal permanent resident or naturalized as U.S. citizens are included as well.

Four million young Americans will join the workforce this year, but the federal government will also import 1.1 million legal immigrants, and allows an army of at least 2 million blue-collar and white-collar visa-workers to work U.S. jobs, alongside asylum-claiming migrants and illegal aliens.

Overall, the Washington-imposed economic policy of economic growth via immigration shifts wealth from young people towards older people by flooding the market with cheap white-collar and blue-collar foreign labor.

That flood of outside labor spikes profits and Wall Street values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees. The policy also drives up real estate prices, widens wealth-gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and sidelines at least 5 million marginalized Americans and their families, including many who are now struggling with opioid addictions. Immigration also pulls investment and wealth away from heartland states because investment flows towards the large immigrant populations living in the coastal states.

The EU-funded wall that nobody wants to talk about

This is not Donald Trump’s desired border wall between the USA and Mexico, nor is it Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán’s fence which stops the flow of migrants into Europe – this is a 764 kilometer wall between Turkey and Syria, funded by none other than the European Union.

Turkey shares an 822 kilometer border with Syria, a country which has suffered bombardment from all angles since 2011, including several EU member states. The wall runs through the provinces of Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Kilis, Hatay, Mardin and Sirnak and incorporates physical, electronic and advanced technology layers.

The physical layer includes modular concrete walls, patrol routes, manned and unmanned towers and passenger tracks.

While the EU and its loyal followers persistently preach that any form of borders are racist, many will be shocked to learn that the construction of this wall was largely funded by the 28-member state union.

According to DER SPIEGEL:

“The EU states have provided the government in Ankara with security and surveillance technology valued at more than 80 million euros in exchange for the protection of its borders.

This included the transfer of 35.6 million euros by Brussels to the Turkish company Otokar as part of its IPA regional development program for the construction of armored Cobra II military vehicles, which are now being used to patrol the border to Syria.”

Additionally, in 2016, the EU pledged €3 billion to Turkey under the guise of humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in the country. In reality, this deal served to trap the existing 3.5million refugees in Turkey and left those hoping to flee their war torn country at even further risk.

Once these resources are to be used in full, the EU will mobilise an additional €3 billion to the end of 2018, as confirmed by a press release of the European Commission.

Next time an EU politician is giving an ethics lecture in regards to immigration and the Syrian conflict, keep this in mind.

By Martin Geddes

We are at war. Until now it has been a shadow conflict, conducted largely out of sight of the public. In the last few weeks it has begun to unmistakably break through into the open. There is nothing else in the tech-telecom world that comes close to it in importance, which is why I write about it in preference to everything else. To pretend otherwise would be a dishonourable act of omission.

This war is for the most important territory on the planet: your mind and spirit. It is a real war, being conducted by the formal military against a highly organised opponent. The enemy is not a foreign country, but instead comprises traitors and criminals in our midst. Whilst it has a traditional kinetic component — bombs, lasers and drones — its defining weapons are memetic. Surveillance, counter-intelligence and propaganda are the new longbows, armour and missiles.

Longstanding readers will know that I am not stupid or silly. Being human, I have the occasional foolishness or misadventure, but my intellect and integrity are both fully intact. There is a good reason why I am forcefully presenting things that may make you feel uncomfortable: there is going to be no way of avoiding these matters in the very near future. Everyone is going to be confronted with diametrically opposing narratives, and will have to make a choice over which one to believe and act upon.

You are likely to have seen one of the many articles in the mainstream media in the past week on #QAnon. Each one of them warns you of how this is a “dark”, “right-wing” and “dangerous” movement. The loaded term “conspiracy theory” is used over and over, warning you of the shameful and fearful social consequences of being associated with this movement.

My position is well known: Q is instead a military operation by “white hats”against the corrupt and criminal “deep state”, being led by the NSA and Marines. The mass media has been infiltrated and compromised for decades, being used as a tool of social control. The #QAnon programme is a fifth-generation warfare technique to destroy the credibility and power of the #FakeNews media.

This has come to a head because at the Tampa rally, Trump supporters were allowed to bring in placards, which are usually banned for safety and security reasons. Many of them included messages about Q and WWG1WGA. This forced the hand of the media to cover the story, since further ignoring it would be such a telling silence that it could awaken the sleeping masses.
Here are some questions I would like you to ponder, so you can decide for yourself which way the truth might lie.

1. Why has not a single one of these media organisations asked President Trump whether Q is legitimate, since this would immediately resolve the matter for everyone? How do you account for this journalistic lapse in elementary data gathering before publishing a story slurring such a large group of ordinary people?

2. Why do they not cite or rebut Q’s drops, as would be normal journalistic practise in disproving something of factual debate? If they are self-evidently false, this should be trivially easy. Why do you think they refuse to engage on the facts, but offer emotive innuendo in its place?

3. Why is there no mention of the 45,000 sealed indictments (50x growth over normal), signifying impending mass arrests? This is a matter of public fact and record — as are the unprecedented CEO resignations (very few being rehired…) and politicians withdrawing from office. What’s your hypothesis for this omission?

4. Why is there no concomitant coverage of the significant increases (5x over past) in arrests and convictions for human trafficking and child pornography, yet there are constant protestations that widespread “elite” paedophilia (aka “pizzagate”) is a “debunked” matter? The press coverage of the sensational NXIVM cult trial — implicating those close to the Clinton Foundation with child sex slavery — is spectacularly muted. How do you account for this silence, given what Q tells us?

5. Why are the dozens and dozens of strong links between Q and the Trump administration given no credence? (Here are 45 for you to begin with — this would easily get you beyond the standard of proof for a court case.) Q encourages people to think for themselves, whereas you are being told by the MSM what to believe and ignore the evidence in front of your own eyes. How do you make sense of this data not being presented to you?

6. How come none of these organisations deemed #QAnon newsworthy before the Tampa rally, yet it is a movement that is suddenly threatening to the wellbeing of democracy and society? How do you account for this timing and the coordinated message using identical terminology? (Although apparently following Q is simultaneously “fringe” and “wildly popular”!)

7. These same organisations overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton for President, and wrongly predicted her win right up until the last minute. They have widespread and documented links to the Democratic party, both legitimate (as donors) and illegitimate (illegal and unethical relationships documented by Wikileaks). Are they dispassionate reporters of fact, or active players in the political game attempting to shape the narrative? How might it affect their reporting on Q?

8. Given that these media reports make many basic factual errors, are they credible journalism? Here’s one (from the Guardian):
Turn Them Off! #QAnon and the collapse of #FakeNews media

Q has never posted on Reddit. Does this suggest familiarity with the subject matter, or profound ignorance?
You are very soon going to have to decide whether these media organisations are involved in transnational criminal racketeering, and collusion with mafia-like entities embedded into government. It will only take a single tweet from President Trump — flagged up by one of Q’s first messages — to end the debate. This single message would destroy all these yellow journalists, forever:

This would explicitly confirm that Q is an agent of the Trump administration. At that point every single damning article about Q as a “conspiracy theory” becomes a perpetual condemnation of its author and publisher. Such confirmation could come in many other forms — this being just one possibility. The #FakeNews media trap has been set by Q, the bait has now been taken, and the gory denouement is approaching.

That moment of reckoning is inevitable, even if I cannot predict when: today, this week, this month, or even later in the autumn. It is a “slow walk” leading up to the US mid-term elections, and you never reveal your plans to the enemy in advance. The worst will doubtless be revealed close to that November date for maximum destructive impact. The #FakeNews media is being given adequate time to manufacture the rope by which it will send itself to the gallows of infamy.

I believe that you are seeing a carefully scripted military operation play out. The mass media’s audience is an active part of the direction of the play. In this spiritual fight against evil masquerading as virtue, everybody is on the information warfare battlefield, like it or not. The next few weeks and months promise to be quite a ride. As Q has stated 28 times so far: “enjoy the show”.

This is not a game, it is the real deal. You have a responsibility to yourself and your family to make good choices. Consider my questions very carefully. Imagine how criminals working to usurp your freedom and security would act if they controlled the mass media. Who do you think is telling the truth, when nobody else tells you what to believe?

Listen to your heart for the answers, for it cannot ever lie.

Legitimate journalism, or mafia media threat against free-thinking patriots who resist their social and mind control techniques?

U.S. delays Obama’s immigration steps after judge’s rebuke
Jeff Mason
Richard Cowan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama’s administration on Tuesday delayed implementing his unilateral steps to shield millions of illegal immigrants from deportation after a judge blocked the actions at the urging of 26 states accusing Obama of exceeding his powers.

In a setback to the president, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Brownsville, a city along the Texas border with Mexico, issued a temporary court order on Monday stopping Obama’s executive actions that bypassed a gridlocked Congress.

Hanen’s action left in disarray U.S. policy toward the roughly 11 million people in the country illegally.
Obama said he disagreed with the ruling and expected his administration to prevail once the issue made its way through the courts.

“The law is on our side and history is on our side,” Obama told reporters in the Oval Office.
The president said the administration will comply with the judge’s order and delay accepting applications from some of the illegal immigrants for deportation relief and work permits that had been set to begin on Wednesday.

“We will be prepared to implement this fully as soon as the legal issues get resolved,” Obama said. He urged Congress to pass legislation to reform the U.S. immigration system more broadly.

Obama said the Justice Department will appeal Hanen’s preliminary injunction to the majority conservative 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Hanen has previously issued other opinions critical of the Obama administration’s enforcement of immigration laws.

Hanen’s preliminary injunction is not a ruling on the merits of the lawsuit filed by 26 states, led by Republican bastions such as Texas.

The judge issued his opinion amid a fight in the Republican-led U.S. Congress over legislation passed by the House of Representatives to allow funding for the Department of Homeland Security only if Obama’s immigration actions were nullified. The department is charged with securing U.S. borders, airports and coastal waters.
Neither Republicans nor Democrats showed signs of backing down, especially with the court order being a preliminary one.

The judge hemmed in Obama’s exertion of executive power on Nov. 20 that has drawn the ire of Republican elected officials who say he exceeded his constitutional authority.

“President Obama abdicated his responsibility to uphold the United States Constitution when he attempted to circumvent the laws passed by Congress via executive fiat, and Judge Hanen’s decision rightly stops the president’s overreach in its tracks,” said Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

DEPORTATION RELIEF
Obama’s executive orders would let up to 4.7 million illegal immigrants stay without threat of deportation. It was aimed mainly at helping 4.4 million people whose children are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.

About 270,000 people would be able to stay under the expansion of a 2012 program that offered deportation relief to people brought illegally to the United States as children, allowing them work. That expansion had been set to begin on Wednesday.

Immigration lawyers said many applicants for deportation relief under Obama’s order had already filed paperwork and the required $465 fee ahead of the beginning of the first stage of the executive action. They now must decide whether to withdraw their applications and be refunded, or continue in hopes the injunction is overturned.

Obama’s administration billed his moves as the biggest immigration policy shift since 1986 changes passed under President Ronald Reagan. Immigration policy is certain to become an important topic in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Most of the illegal immigrants in the United States come from Mexico and other Latin American countries. Guatamala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico said they were disappointed with the Texas judge’s order.

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry said Obama’s moves provided “a just migration solution for millions of families and could reinforce the significant contributions of Mexican migrants to the American economy and society.”

The judge wrote that the administration had not complied with procedures needed for putting into effect Obama’s immigration moves, which he made after House Republicans blocked bipartisan immigration legislation passed by the Senate in 2013.

In his opinion, Hanen wrote that “the states have clearly proven a likelihood of success on the merits” of the case. Hanen wrote it was “disingenuous” for the administration to maintain Obama’s actions merely “supplements and amends” current policy.

“It represents a massive change in immigration practice, and will have a significant effect on, not only illegally present immigrants, but also the nation’s entire immigration scheme and the states who must bear the lion’s share of its consequences,” Hanen wrote.

Republicans argue that Obama often has overstepped his presidential authority in areas also including U.S.-Cuba policy and changes in his signature healthcare law.

In aiming to thwart Obama’s moves on immigration, they risk further alienating Hispanic voters and being accused of interfering with counterterrorism efforts by holding up money for homeland security. Republicans say there will be no interruption in the homeland security agency’s critical protective missions.
